We were picked up at the hotel and drove to a near starting Point. We helped to prepare the balloon. The take off is a bit shaky, but not as bad as some might imagine.
The balloon is flying without any turbulence unlike a helicopter or plane. We had a nice bottle of sparkling wine on board and were able to see far over the whole Island. Our balloon Driver was very nice and was able to speak perfect german!
The landing was the funniest part 😉
We then became a nice certificate that we flew in a balloon.
The experience was very great, with nice balloon Drivers, a bottle of sparkling wine and an outstanding view of Mallorca.
We can really recommend this experience!! read less

We decided to take a balloon trip with our 4 year old on the recommendation of our host at Predi... read moreWe decided to take a balloon trip with our 4 year old on the recommendation of our host at Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural near Calle Mesquida, in the Capdepera area. I was a little unsure because it's along way up to take a little boy (!), and I suffer from vertigo from time to time. However, when we met Jordi and Julio I felt very much better about it - they are both incredible warm and welcoming and clearly real experts in ballooning. Jordi has spent the last 20 years ballooning and has clocked up more than 2,500 flights. We started at 6:30pm trying for a sunset flight and drove to a launch location about 10 mins away; throughout the trip he explained they were observing the trees to see what kind of wind there was and where it was blowing. They tested this agin in more depth with small helium balloons at the side and decided we should try elsewhere as the South westerly might make a bumpy launch and take us too close to the Med. The second location was not much better and after some testing Jordi recommended we try again early in the morning. I couldn't have been happier with their meticulous evaluation of the situation and communication of what they were looking out for and why as we drove. The next morning we started at about 7:30, this time right next to our lovely hotel. It was really impressive to see the beautifully made balloon lying flat and large on the ground with the basket and fire blowers set up. He used a large ventilator to open the balloon before firing the heat through it and we climbed in the basket and rose very quickly. It was an easy, comfortable start - no bumps, no gusts of wind - and it continued that way until the end. We floated calmly and serenely over the most beautiful countryside, farms and houses as the morning sun broke through the mist. It was genuinely magical and Jordi was all the time checking the direction, the air travel and in communication with Julio on the ground, while at the same time somehow being able to show us around his beautiful island and provide us with champagne, strawberries and a little light breakfast, and warmly joke with our little boy. No hint of vertigo appeared at any time. I cannot recommend Illes Balears more highly, nor Jordi and his colleague Julio. They were uplifting in every way. Thank you both for such a wonderful experience. read less

La Segunda vez, vuelo bajo,raso, aburrido y tampoco recibi fotos, eramos tres amigos y les anime a volar, se quedaron defraudados, 500e mal gastados.9 personas en total.
Si hace mal tiempo es logico no salir, pero si no se puede ofrecer un vuelo "normal", o se repite,o se devuelve el dinero o parte de el.
El trato de los que preparan el vuelo muy bien. read less

Ze kwamen ons halen aan het Hotel om 05.00U om naar de start plaats te gaan daar mochten we meehelpen om de ballon start klaar te maken we zaten met 12 personen in een grote mand. En hebben bij het klaar maken van de ballon erg veel plezier gehad. Een Half uur voor de afgesproken prijs op het terrein waar de ballon de lucht in ging konden we nog bij boeken voor nog een half uur dat hebben we dus wel gedaan want een half uur ins zo om hadden we ons bedacht .het was een geweldige ervaring. read less
Evening sunset balloon flight My wife & recently visited Majorca in April & while there fulfilled a lifelong experience for myself in having a... read moreMy wife & recently visited Majorca in April & while there fulfilled a lifelong experience for myself in having a hot air balloon flight we booked with Illes Balears Ballooning & could not have picked a better company we were originally booked for an evening flight on the Monday but due uncooperative winds this was not going to be possible so the company phoned my room at my hotel to arrange a evening sunset flight on the Sunday instead which was fine with us as we did not have a car ourselves Jordi one of the balloon pilots (also one of the owners) collected us from out hotel in Can Pastilla & drove us to the launch site where on arrival we helped along with 4 other passengers to inflate the balloon ready for launch the flight was really magical along with a couple of glasses of complementary bubbly out pilot Jordi & balloon chaser Julio could not have been friendlier & after landing & helping to pack up the balloon we were driven all the way back to our hotel again & later in the week Jordi left a CD with photos & video of our flight (included in the price) at our hotel which was delivered to our room I can now cross one more thing from my bucket list I would really recommend this company to anyone Jordi & Julio are excellent hosts & very experienced balloon pilots thank you both from my wife Josie & myself. read less

Everything went well with the booking and it was very well organized. If I can just advise future travelers, make dure you know how many people will be with you, I wanted to have a private flight for my husband’s birthday but I made a mistake in the reservation and had to share with 6 other people and I thought it was a bit crowded. Choose to be with 4 pleople max or pay a bit extra for the private one, so you get a better view. read less

A hot air balloon flight has been on my bucket list for so long. Extremely happy to have finally acheived my dream. I did the sunset flight & it was magical. We were involved with all the setting up & packing away of the balloon which added to the whole experience.
Our flight was so smooth & calming & the champagne provided added that special touch. At the end you are awarded with a flight certificate & the option to have pictures/videos either emailed or sent on a DVD. I chose the email option & received the files the following day.
I can highly recommend Illes Balears Ballooning. read less

Extraordinaria experiencia, para repetir Tenia ganas de tener esta experiencia y creo que hemos dado con una de las mejores empresas que pueden ofrecer... read moreTenia ganas de tener esta experiencia y creo que hemos dado con una de las mejores empresas que pueden ofrecer dicha experiencia, por lo que vimos, prima la seguridad y no tanto realizar el vuelo en globo sin una seguridad 100%, estas cuando se infla y cuando se recoge, por tanto no solo es el vuelo, realizan tanto fotos como video que luego te entregan, te van explicando los pormenores del vuelo y vas a merced del viento, "no se sabe donde se aterriza", la experiencia consta de alrededor de tres horas que se pasan volando "nunca mejor dicho", por ultimo reiterar la recomendación de realizar con IB Ballooning dicha experiencia y para el que este interesado esta es su pagina web ballooningmallorca.net o también ibballooning.net read less

Den ich bei Illes Balears Ballooning buchte, es klappte alles wunderbar.
Jordi, der Inhaber, machte uns diesen Flug auch außerhalb der Saison möglich.
Das einzigste was ich zu bemängeln hatte, war die recht knappe Fahrzeit von 45 min.
Dafür dann nur die 4 Sterne..
Mein Fazit:
Jederzeit gerne wieder, ein Erlebnis was in Erinnerung bleibt. read less

The pilot Geordie and his assistant, were extremely professional whilst being relaxed and ensuring we were all fully involved in the whole experience!!! The ride itself was magical, peaceful and incredibly beautiful as we watched the sunset. Landing next to a lemon grove in the countryside was idyllic as well as a lot of fun , and toasting with a glass of champagne at 1500 feet was something I will remember for the rest of my life. This is a MUST for anyone visiting Mallorca whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to enjoy the very best of what the island has to offer!!! read less

They gave me and my girlfriend a super experience and sunset baloon ride (same can definitely not be said for their competition which had horrible reviews). The rates are super fare and a real bargain. They really care you have a great time and spend a lot of time showing and explaining some of the places as we pass over (and the champagne was a nice touch). Thanks again guys as it was a fantastic experience because your care of us as a client.

Mal aterrizaje Aunque el vuelo fue una experiencia única que pensamos nos iba a dejar un grato recuerdo, lo único que recordaremos... read moreAunque el vuelo fue una experiencia única que pensamos nos iba a dejar un grato recuerdo, lo único que recordaremos es el aterrizaje y el golpe que nos dimos en las rodillas y en mi caso también en la boca, por suerte mis heridas curaron mejor y más rápido que las de mi amiga, que sigue de baja y en espera de los resultado de la resonancia magnética.
Y respecto al reportaje, la mayoría de las fotos y algún video no son de nuestro vuelo y el vídeo, que si lo es, tiene la imagen súper lenta y no va con el sonido. read less
